" Captain's Lookout" is a large, spacious non-smoking Cape Cod Salt Box style home, which is fully fenced, situated within a short walking distance to the bay beach and the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, a short bike ride in town to the shops, and a short bike ride to the ocean beach in nearby Cape Henlopen State Park, which offers amenities such as two designated swimming beaches, pool, a picnic pavilion, an 18-hole disc golf course, basketball courts, trails for hiking and biking, World War II Observation Tower, where the 360-degree views are spectacular, the Seaside Nature Center, kayak rentals, camping, fishing, athletic fields, horse trails, refreshments, and shower facilities.  Also, it is a short drive to the main strip (Coastal Highway), where you can find an array of restaurants and activities, including the outlet shopping malls, Rehoboth Beach, as well as some of the other beaches.

The home is beautifully landscaped with a variety of plants, shrubs, and trees of all colors.  The aroma of flowering plants are breathtaking and attract butterflies, as well as hummingbirds from time to time.

The home features two full levels, plus a loft area on the third level, which you are able to see (and hear) the ferry coming and going.  The home has 6 bedrooms and a loft area for sleeping up to 15 people comfortably.  There are 3 queen beds, one twin/full bunk bed, one day bed/trundle, one sleeper sofa, and one futon couch.  There are two bedrooms and 1½ bathrooms downstairs, 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms on the second level, and the loft on the third level.  The loft overlooks one of the bedrooms on the second level.  There is ceramic tile and hardwood flooring throughout the house.  From two of the bedrooms on the second level, there is access to a screened in porch with outdoor furniture.  The house is a one of a kind with respect to the architectural detail throughout.
