Carl Bartell

Carl is in his third year with Lewes Realty.  He comes to us after retiring from 30 years of service in the Delaware public school system. Most of that time was spent providing technology management and support, but he also did stints as a classroom teacher and high school assistant principal. Additionally, he was also the Technology Manager for the Delaware Transit Corporation and served for 30 years in the active and reserve military forces, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Delaware National Guard.

Carl has lived in Lewes for the past 40 years and has seen the town of Lewes grow into a city.  He is married to Joy, his wife of 36 years.  She is an instructor at the Beebe School of Nursing. They have two adult daughters and three grandchildren.  In his spare time Carl plays golf, is a licensed instrument rated private pilot, and enjoys playing guitar in the church band.  Carl has served as the church lay leader and will preach the sermon once or twice a year.

Carl bought and managed condos in North Carolina prior to getting his Delaware real estate license.  Since then he has performed the necessary coursework and obtained the required experience to be certified by the National Association of REALTORS® as an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®), a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®), and internet professional (e-PRO®).  Fewer than 10 other REALTORS® in the entire state have those same designations.  Carl was recognized as the leading sales agent for Lewes Realty five times in the past nine months and twice as the leading listing agent. He specializes in the sales of new homes, condos, B&Bs, land & acreage, resale single family homes, and seniors/retirement relocations.
